Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an appointment to visit Tile Fusion?
No appointment is required to visit our showroom during opening hours. If you’re planning a renovation or building project, we recommend booking a consultation so our team can guide you through the options.
What should I bring to my showroom visit?
Bringing a few details can help us guide you more effectively. Floor plans, measurements, photos of your space, samples of cabinetry or stone, and inspiration images are all helpful.
Can I take a tile sample home?
Yes. You’re welcome to borrow samples from our showroom so you can see how the tile looks in your space and natural lighting. We simply ask that samples are returned to the showroom within a week so others can use them as well.
How long should I allow for a showroom visit?
Most customers spend around 30 minutes to an hour exploring options. If you’re selecting tiles for an entire project, allowing up to 90 minutes is recommended.
What is the difference between porcelain and ceramic tiles?
Porcelain tiles are denser, stronger and less porous, which makes them suitable for both floors and walls. Ceramic tiles are typically lighter and are more commonly used for wall applications.
Are tiles suitable for bathrooms and wet areas?
Yes. Porcelain and ceramic tiles are commonly used in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries because they are water resistant and easy to maintain. Slip-resistant finishes are often recommended for floors in wet areas.
Are tiles suitable for outdoor areas?
Yes, but outdoor tiles need the correct slip resistance rating and durability for weather exposure. Our team can help you select tiles specifically designed for outdoor use.
Are tiles slip resistant?
Many tiles are available with different slip ratings depending on where they will be installed. Areas such as bathrooms, pool surrounds and outdoor spaces typically require higher slip resistance.
What tile size should I choose?
Tile size depends on the space and the look you want. Larger tiles create a more seamless feel with fewer grout lines, while smaller tiles and mosaics are often used for features, niches or detailed areas.
What finish should I choose, matte or polished?
Matte tiles offer a more natural look and better slip resistance, which makes them popular for floors. Polished tiles create a more reflective finish and are often used on walls or feature areas.
How do I choose the right tile for my space?
Choosing the right tile usually comes down to where it will be used, the size and layout of the tiles, and the overall style you want to achieve. Our team can guide you through these choices in the showroom.
What types of tiles does Tile Fusion specialise in?
Tile Fusion sources a range of premium tiles including porcelain, natural stone, decorative feature tiles, large format tiles and outdoor paving tiles. Many of our collections come from leading European manufacturers.
How many tiles do I need to order?
Tile quantities are calculated based on the square metre size of your space. It’s recommended to allow around 10–15% extra for cutting, wastage and future repairs.
Can I request a quote for my project?
Yes. Our team can prepare a quote based on your tile selection and the size of your project.
Do you keep tiles in stock?
Some tiles are stocked locally, while others are imported from overseas suppliers. Lead times vary depending on the product and our team will advise availability when you select your tiles.
Do you ship tiles across Australia?
Yes. Tile Fusion can arrange delivery to most locations across Australia. Our team will confirm delivery options and timeframes when you place your order.
Should I purchase extra tiles?
Yes. Keeping spare tiles is recommended in case repairs are needed later, as tile batches can vary over time.
Can I cancel, return or exchange tiles?
If you need to cancel or return an order, please contact our team as soon as possible. We’ll review your request and let you know what options are available, as returns or exchanges may be possible depending on the order and product.
Are tiles easy to maintain?
Yes. Most porcelain and ceramic tiles only require regular sweeping and mopping with mild cleaners. Natural stone tiles may require sealing and specialised cleaning products.
Will my tiles change colour over time?
High-quality tiles are designed to maintain their appearance. Natural materials such as stone may develop a natural patina over time.
Does Tile Fusion install tiles?
Tile Fusion supplies tiles but does not carry out installation. We can recommend experienced tilers who regularly work with our products.
Can Tile Fusion work with my builder or designer?
Yes. We regularly work with builders, architects, interior designers and tilers to ensure tile selections suit the project.
What does my tiler need to know before installation?
Your tiler will need details such as the tile size, thickness, recommended adhesive and grout, and the layout pattern for the installation.
Do you supply tiles for commercial or large-scale projects?
Yes. Tile Fusion regularly supplies tiles for commercial developments, hospitality spaces and multi-residential projects.
Do you offer trade pricing?
